Stella's Restuarant, Henley Beach, SA
Posted by Peter on 26th May 2006 at 17:26:15
On Sunday night we had a mediocre, overpriced meal at Stellas in Henley Square, where they insisted on keeping the door open for at least 10 minutes, allowing for a frigid gale to blow in, in order to bring chairs inside, despite our remonstrations, which they (the glazed-eyed, cloth-eared serving wenches) reacted to with that bland, slightly hostile disinterest that one used to ascribe to Soviet washer women. Great location, reasonable atmosphere, pity about the food and especially the service. I spent 6 years in Sydney extolling the virtues of Adelaide dining. I'm thinking now I oversold this city - and that's not based on this one experience...the dining in Glenelg is universally putrid.
