The Entertainment card is a bit of a joke I think. It is supposed to encourage people to visit restaurants more OFTEN & some they normally might not but the trouble is that these people ONLY come with this discount card, so if they have to pay full prices they don't come back. A lot of these people , not all of course are the same type who go main course only, salad to share, only order wine by the glass, and think that every dish should come automatically with veg and potato. I have even seen some ask if there is a discount for cash! They should just stick to their local pub smorgasboard. After all that is what they really want. People always want the best but don't want to have to pay for it.

As far as I am concerned restaurants that try to fill their dining rooms with this clientele may as well just lower their prices to start with rather than 'prostituting' themselves. It's just another example of an overcrowded industry trying to survive. Years ago I worked in a place that did a lunch menu at a set price. The competition down the road undercut my place of work by ten dollars and was full everyday whilst we were only half full. Six months later the competitor went broke because being full doesn't necessarily mean you make any money! Oh, we then picked up many of the customers who wondered why we didn't lower our prices the six months before hand. mmm?
