Appalling service at Sydney St Cafe Mogo

We had our new years eve spoiled after an appalling experience at Sydney St Cafe in Mogo. I would suggest anyone dining in the area avoid it at all costs.
We were the only table seated for a late lunch, after 45 minutes one of the 8 (unoccupied) staff noticed we were still waiting for our meals, told us lunch would be 5 minutes. After a further 25 we were about to walk out (and would have if anywhere else would serve lunch at that time of day) when the food was finally brought out. Although the food was pleasant, we were so ravenous at that stage that a rubber tyre would have been enjoyable. When we complained to the manger, we found him hostile and defensive, and even though he was badgered into apology, it was hardly sincere. He was unwilling to compensate us for our disappointment, although we managed to have our coffees taken off the bill (which we of course ordered during the long wait), he quibbled over a soft drink charge, and would not budge on a discount off the meals. This cafe has much to learn about good customer service, although I don't imagine they will be in business long enough to learn their lesson.
