On New Year's day we went out to "My cafe in Manuka" for afternoon tea with our kids (4 & 2) - the Mietta's guide says "kids welcome". We ordered coffee, cakes & baby-cino's for the kids - WHAT A RIP OFF - when we paid the bill we were CHARGED $3 FOR EACH BABY-CINO, PLUS 10% HOLIDAY SURCHARGE - Is this the most expensive in Australia?? (Plus it was too hot to drink with very little froth! Not a particularly good treat for the kids).
We questioned it, but were told by the extraordinarily rude "manager" that this was her price and then was quite personally abusive to us in her New Year's wishes! Having been here before with children this was not the price I had been charged previously, and then she said if she knew who had charged me less she would sack them! Wow - how to treat customers and staff! More generally the service and time beofre our ordered was delivered was slow (30min to get coffees from time of ordering)
