The Argent Street Cafe & Resturant
Posted by Nicole on 27th December 2006 at 10:45:55
On a recent trip from Brisbane to Adelaide my husband and I had left rather early (3am) and had made it to Broken Hill at around 8.30pm on a Wed night. After checking into our hotel we asked if there was anything open to get a meal. We were told to check out the Argent Street Cafe as they would be about the only thing left open. On arriving at the cafe we were getted by two really nice men that were more than happy to help us. The food was amazing as was the lovely glass of red that the waiter suggested. I had a herb barramundi and my husband had a pasta dish. WOW. It is some of the best food I have every tasted ( and I love my food). On our return leg back to Brisbane we decided to stay in Broken Hill again and visit the cafe for dinner. When we arrived they had a privated function on but instead of turning us away we were asked what we were looking for to eat and once we had stated that anything they wanted to cook us, we were greeted with open arms and once again they produced the most wonderful meals. We both had pasta dishes and having been to Italy, I can say with confidence that Mr Matt Arnold (Owner & Chef) knows how to cook.

If you find yourself in Broken Hill do yourself a favour and visit the guys at the Argent Street Cafe & Resturant.

Cafe is open Tues - Sat 8.30am to 4pm
Resturant Wed - Sat from 6pm

They also do private functions on other nights.
