Thank goodness they're open again!!! I was experiencing withdrawal symptoms. Outside still looks rustic (under construction but clean) and the inside is amazing. It looks fresh,clean and spacious (I am so happy that they have more than efficient air-conditioning because I am planning on spending a bit more time there this Summer). The menu looks new (the favourites are still there). The inside looks 'old' and 'modern' at the same time. You have to see it to understand what I mean. John Sadleir still owns the restaurant and he has kept all of his staff; which I am eternally grateful for. I wouldn't have felt comfortable if they weren't there. It looks like the place has had a facelift but all the old faces are still there. If you live in the area you need to go here. A word to the wise...you need to book a table!!! Otherwise you need to wash up and clean up after yourself (and family) when you get take-away. I can't wait until they have outside open too. (Maybe I will have a better chance at getting a table!) I got take-away tonight (comfort food). Thank goodness they still do that because I have tried to book 2 times and they were "Fully Booked"...even for regulars :(.. I'll just have to get in early to get a table!!!! |
