Seriously check out the Manse in North Adelaide, SA.
Ate there again recently and the food was awesome again.Service still needs a bit more support though, admittedley at times, especially on busy nights obviously. This restaurant and it's young chef Tim Montgomery, a super nice guy as well he appears to be must be up there with the other two nice guys of cooking in Adelaide Jordan Theodoris of the Melting Pot and my favourite chef Le Tu Tai at Bridgewater Mill, as well as Cheong at the Grange. Given the downsizing of AGT restaurant guide it seems more immportant than ever we support these folks doing the hard yards so we not only have some great places to continue to eat but can be proud of what oz offers in more than just 100 or so graded restaurants..

The other thing I love about the manse as well as the melting pot is that unlike some other restaurants that can rely on extra trappings such as external views, vineyards, a prestige name , etc they have to rely pretty much on food and service to make their mark alone and they do it well. Very well.Could you imagine if we stuck Tim and Jordan in landmark locations how much more recognition they would achieve?! So C'mon folks let's get behind them.
