| Howard's abuse of a senate majority made it impossible for the NSW state Libs to terminate the tired Carr-Iemma government in 2007, initiating the chain of events which led to a yesterday that should have only surprised in how long it took to get there, not that that marks a likely end nor indicates that I am any fan of old media self-interest in fatally flawed notions of "leadership".
